Recall of Infants TYLENOL Oral Suspension, 1 oz. Grape Due to Dosing System Complaints (Fri, 17 Feb 2012 14:46:00 -0500) McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. (McNeil), is voluntarily recalling, at the wholesale and retail levels, seven lots, approximately 574,000 bottles, of Infants TYLENOL Oral Suspension, 1 oz. Grape distributed nationwide in the United States (see full product list below). Infants TYLENOL is an over-the-counter (OTC) product indicated as a pain reliever/fever reducer.

Certain Packages of Excedrin, NoDoz, Bufferin and Gas-X Prevention Recalled (Sun, 08 Jan 2012 22:04:00 -0500) Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. (NCH) announced today that it is voluntarily recalling all lots of select bottle packaging configurations of Excedrin® and NoDoz® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin® and Gas-X Prevention® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States. NCH is taking this action as a precautionary measure because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets.

**UPDATE** -- Ocean Spray Voluntarily Recalls Limited Quantity of Original Flavor Craisins Dried Cranberries in Western U.S. Only (Wed, 07 Dec 2011 11:03:00 -0500) Ocean Spray today added five additional Best By code dates to its voluntary recall issued November 25, 2011 of a limited number of production lots of its Original Flavor Craisins® Dried Cranberries in 5-ounce, 10-ounce and 48-ounce packages in the western U.S. only. Ocean Spray took this precautionary measure due to the possible presence of very small hair-like metal fragments that are unlikely to cause consumer injury.

Yu Wei Recalls Drop-Side Cribs Sold Exclusively at jcpenney Due to Entrapment and Suffocation Hazards(Wed, 05 Oct 2011 18:45:00 GMT) The drop-side rails on the crib can malfunction, detach or unexpectedly fall down, causing part of the drop side to fall out of position. When this happens, a space is created into which an infant or toddler can roll and become wedged or entrapped, which can lead to strangulation or suffocation. A child can also fall out of the crib. Certain Fresh Strawberries in NW Oregon Recalled - Implicated In E. coli Outbreak (Thu, 11 Aug 2011 12:41:00 -0400) Oregon Public Health officials have identified fresh strawberries from a Newberg farm as the source of a cluster of Escherichia coli O157:H7 infections that sickened at least 10 people last month, including one person who died. The strawberries were produced last month by Jaquith Strawberry Farm located at 23135 SW Jaquith Road in Newberg. Jaquith finished its strawberry season in late July, and its strawberries are no longer on the market.

One Product Lot Of TYLENOL® Extra Strength Caplets 225 Count Recalled (Wed, 29 Jun 2011 17:27:00 -0400) Fort Washington, PA – McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., is recalling at the retail level one product lot (60,912 bottles) of TYLENOL®, Extra Strength Caplets, 225 count bottles, distributed in the U.S. The recalled product was manufactured in February, 2009. McNeil is taking this action following a small number of odor reports, including musty, moldy odor. The uncharacteristic musty, moldy odor has been linked to the presence of trace amounts of a chemical known as 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA).

Rugby Children's Pain & Fever Concentrated Drops Recall (Thu, 23 Jun 2011 19:00:00 GMT) This over the counter medicine contains acetaminophen which calls for child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. Although the original bottle has child-resistant packaging, a separate dropper unit provided for dispensing the drug to children does not. When in use, a child can access the medicine, posing serious health problems or death if more than the recommended dosage is consumed.
